WAY too many perfect errors

There are 60+ perfect errors in Part One, Grammar & Sentence Structure, plus this whopper-blooper under Tense Use: Past + Past Perfect: 'She went to lunch after she had finished the filing' which is merely wrong, but then comes this by way of explanation: 'the action that occurred first is more in the past', which is pretty much the way of the world. Things that happen first are almost always 'more in the past', but that does NOT help explain how the past perfect works. There are only a dozen such errors in Part Two, Correspondence.
On the good side is that this handbook contains a wealth of good information on the way business works. If Barron's would just stick to business and leave grammar to those who understand it, the world would be a better place. More good news is that you can get some practice in seeing if you can detect the perfect errors. (I tried to find Andrea Geffner to run this past her first but I was unsuccessful.)
